My name is Yvonne Steindl and I spent years following different training methods, striving for the connection with my horses I dreamed of. It was exhausting, difficult and full of frustration. Horse training felt not that light and harmonious as expected. The beautiful bond I was looking for was coverd with believes and methods who are very mechanical and just the horse was in the focus of the education. I had a lot of good results and I learned a lot about horses. What was missing for me was the playful light conversation without harmful equipment.

I changed my perspective and I learned from beautiful traines much more about another way of communication. Even though the relationship to my horses became better and I felt more in tune with training in absolute freedome or with light equipment I was still searching for something. It felt like the dreams I had with horses are not fully matched.

But then came the moment of realicaion- the day I understood that we aren´t trying to become part of the herd, a part of our horses world. We arrive, we command, we attempt to control - without ever questioning if what we do truly serves the horse. I asked myself a question:

 

Why does a horse stay in the herd? Why does the herd always remain together? 

And the most important question of all-

Can we become part of this system? 

Since 2016, I have dedicated myself to understand herd psychology and the profound relationship between horse and human. I have uncoverd secrets hidden in the language of the herd, secrets that hold the key to communication, trust, and refinement in movement. It felt like I had now a totally different aim in horse training. I started to change more in my inside world and believes and this opened a whole new horse world for me. Through being a herd member and communicating with their language as good as I could was the feeling I always was searching for.

Now it feels like having a conversation when I am together with my horses, we have a much more playful approch with each other and we deal a lot differently with problems we have in our little herd.
